The Vaden Way according to Jane

My father, Dan Vaden, came to Bluffton in 1968 with a simple formula for success which was, "Treat everyone like family and remember that the customer signs our paychecks". I wonder if he knew how much his legacy would affect our community…and me.

Fast forward to today and it's pretty clear that this foundation paved the way for positive change. We now have over 700 employees who support 12 Vaden dealerships located in South Carolina and South Carolina.

While tradition plays a critical role in our culture, I've learned that adaptation is paramount. Over the years when challenges required solutions, I found myself saying "That's the Vaden Way" so often that it's now become our company's mantra for just about everything. It helps keep us grounded in what's most important to our employees and customers.

What exactly is the Vaden Way? I think it's best described as a culture bent on treating others with respect, being transparent in how we do business and dedicating ourselves to greater causes like Education and Literacy within our local communities.
